Professor Stacey Sobel’s work as a lawyer, advocate, and educator has long been shaped by the Jewish concept of “Tikkun Olam,” a Hebrew phrase meaning “repair the world.” Throughout her career, that principle has guided her commitment to social justice, human rights, and advocacy for underserved communities. “My passion for social justice and human rights embodies this concept by taking action to fix, improve, and heal society,” she shared.
In celebration of Jewish American Heritage Month, Western State is proud to recognize Professor Sobel’s impact on both the legal field and the Western State community. Her dedication to advocacy, education, and mentorship continues to inspire students to pursue meaningful change through the law. We invite you to revisit her previous spotlight and learn more about her journey, her work, and the values that continue to shape her career.
