Western State College of Law proudly congratulates alumna Melinda Porter (Class of 2006) on her appointment to serve as a Judge in the Los Angeles County Superior Court. Judge Porter has built an impressive career in public service, beginning as a judicial assistant before earning her J.D. here at Western State. She went on to serve as a Deputy Public Defender for nearly two decades and later as a Commissioner for the Los Angeles County Superior Court. Her commitment to justice and service to the community make this appointment a fitting recognition of her career achievements.
