Western State College of Law is proud to congratulate alumna Jennifer L. Smith (Class of 1985) on her election to the Fresno County Superior Court. Jennifer won the June 2, 2026 election, which was officially certified on June 26.
During her time at Western State, she served as President of the Black Law Students Association during the 1984–1985 academic year and represented third-year students in the Student Bar Association. Her election marks an exciting new chapter in a legal career that began at Western State more than four decades ago.
Congratulations to Judge Smith on this outstanding achievement and her continued service to the legal community.
