Western State College of Law’s recent Admitted Students Mixer brought together a mix of incoming students, faculty, administration, and alumni for an evening of connection at Casa Del Sol Cocina Mexicana in Tustin, CA. The atmosphere was upbeat and welcoming. Conversations sparked easily as new students introduced themselves to future classmates, made new friends, and got to know the people who will guide and support them in the coming years.
Dean Marisa Cianciarulo started the evening by expressing her excitement for the upcoming class and highlighting Western State’s dedication to building a supportive community. Assistant Dean of Admissions Rhonda Cohen greeted the students with enthusiasm and encouraged everyone to make the most of the opportunities ahead.
Throughout the night, faculty members—including Professors Lori Roberts, Elizabeth Jones, Kirsten Pescetti, Sabrina Rivera, Robert Molko, and new visiting professors Nicole Rangel and Israel Moya—mingled with students, answering questions and offering insights about law school life. Several alumni, including Amir Nevis and John Rafter, offered additional perspective by sharing their personal journeys with the incoming class.
Raffle prizes added a fun twist to the evening, with students winning Western State swag and other goodies. Many attendees stayed until the very end, soaking in the community, the conversation, and the excitement about what’s to come, right up until the venue closed for the night.
We are grateful to everyone who attended and helped make the mixer such a success. To our incoming students: we can’t wait to see you on campus and support you on your journey to becoming future legal professionals!
