The Western State College of Law Experiential Learning Center was established as a 501(c)3 nonprofit to support Western State students and their practical legal training.

Mission Statement:

The Western State College of Law Experiential Learning Center is dedicated to providing students and graduates with unique opportunities to apply their legal education to real-world problems while making a positive impact in underserved communities. Our mission is to equip students and graduates with the knowledge, skills, values, and experience necessary to become effective and compassionate advocates for clients while fostering a culture of legal excellence, public service, and pursuit of justice. Legal clinics and practicums offer students and graduates opportunities to represent clients in legal matters, providing students and graduates with valuable hands-on experience. Competition teams enable students and graduates to apply their knowledge and develop their skills, ensuring they are well-rounded and prepared for future success. We provide scholarships to students and graduates and we support legal clinics, practicums, competition teams, and programs that bridge the gap between legal theory and practice, thereby preparing students and graduates to be competent lawyers, engaged and ethical leaders who are committed to using their legal expertise to serve their clients and make a difference in the world.
