The Student Bar Association (SBA) is the official student organization for Western State College of Law. The purpose of the SBA is to represent the student body and to promote fellowship and unity among students, faculty and the administration. The SBA takes pride in organizing many social, academic and law-related events and activities throughout the school year. Board members who serve on various SBA committees address specific needs of the student body and facilitate open communication. Perhaps most importantly, the SBA allocates funds to on-campus student organizations who organize events and activities that are rooted in specific areas of the law. Finally, the SBA publishes The Precedent student newspaper which is distributed on a monthly basis.
The SBA encourages your participation, support and feedback. If you are a current student, please add the SBA on TWEN (The West Education Network) to stay informed on SBA news and current events.
There are more than a dozen student organizations on campus to choose from. Student organizations give you an opportunity to network with your peers, take a leadership role outside of the classroom, and learn more about different areas of the law. With so many options, you’re likely to find a great fit for you! The following are the current student organizations Western State College of Law has to offer:
