BIOGRAPHY
Shari K. Hartmann is the Registrar at Western State College of Law, known for her creativity, adaptability, and deep dedication to the campus community.
A graduate of Chapman University (BA 1982; JD 2004), Shari has been working in higher education since 1988. Over the years, she has navigated four campus moves and five systems conversions—four of which were successful—demonstrating her ability to find innovative solutions to even the most unusual challenges.
Visitors to Shari’s office are greeted by a display of Ford Mustangs, LEGO models, and her favorite Calvin & Hobbes comics, reflecting her belief that a sense of fun and curiosity enriches every experience. She is always ready to chat with students, staff, faculty, and alumni about cars, comics, or the latest odd question she’s been asked—because, for Shari, every interaction is an opportunity to connect and find solutions.
Through her work as Registrar, Shari ensures that every student’s journey is supported and guided, bringing precision, flexibility, and a bit of humor to the administrative process.
