Internships and Externships
Honors programs for Business students include the American Bankruptcy Institute's (ABI) Medal of Excellence, and Honors Corporate Law Internships.
The ABI Medal of Excellence program was developed by
Christopher F. Graham of the New York law firm of Thacher, Proffitt & Wood and inaugurated by ABI in 1997. As a yearly participant in the program, Western State University
selects the student with the highest grade in a Bankruptcy Law course or
other indicia of bankruptcy scholarship to receive this important
honor. Four Western State University bankruptcy students have received this national distinction.
To qualify to apply for an Honors Corporate Law Internship, students must be one of the top three academic achievers in their Corporations course.
