Onsite Legal Clinic
The Western State University Legal Clinic offers students the opportunity to practice law while still in school.
Each semester, up to 10 student attorneys who are certified by the State Bar of California, provide legal assistance to members of the Orange County community under supervision of Professor Terence Roberts, the Clinic Director. In this program, students will represent clients with problems in domestic relations and consumer complaints. Students have the opportunity to enhance their classroom learning and to acquire practical skills of interviewing and counseling clients, preparing pleadings, writing motions, negotiation, and mediating. Students also engage in all phases of the litigation process including representing their clients in courtrooms throughout Orange County.
