- How and when would you like to contacted if we have questions pertaining to your research?
- How would you prefer your information be delivered to you
Computers
The library contains two computer labs with 20 networked machines each. The labs are open during all open library hours, aside from when the computer classroom is being used for instruction. Throughout the library there are approximately 300 network ports where students may plug their laptop computers in.
Interlibrary loans and New Book Requests
If you need a book or article that we do not have, we will borrow it for you from another library, at no cost to you. Most materials requested from other libraries arrive within a week or less. However, these loans can sometimes take up to two weeks to be delivered. Click here to place a request.
Course Reserves
All faculty are welcome to place items on reserve in the library. Just fill out a Items to Be Placed on Reserve form and either stop by the library or use interoffice mail. Reserved materials are held at the reserve desk, just inside the library’s entrance. Students may check them out for two hours’ use within the library by leaving their ID card. Materials in any format – books, photocopies of exams, videotapes, etc. – may be placed on reserve.
Training
Librarians can provide or arrange for training on a large variety of hardware and software systems. See Training for a detailed list of available training.
Faculty Liaisons
Librarians want to provide the best possible service for each faculty member. To that end, each librarian has been assigned several faculty members to contact. Your faculty liaison will contact you regarding new services and you should feel free to call your liaison or any other librarian for any help you need. A list of faculty liaisons can be found at Faculty Liaisons.
Copiers
The library has three copiers – one on each floor, next to the elevator. Copies are 10 cents a page. The copiers accept change, bills and copy cards. Copy Cards are available from vending machines on the lower level. A Copy Card costs $1.00 but comes with 50 cents’ value on it. Money can be added to Copy Cards at the vending machines and at any copier.
Employment
Need a job? We have part-time positions available in the library. We offer flexible hours and an easy commute from the main building. Please talk to a librarian if you’re interested.
