A former civil practitioner with a wide range of experience in litigation and public law, Professor Blasser has developed a widely acknowledged expertise in creating successful bar studies programs.

Before coming to Western State College of Law, Lisa Blasser practiced law for five years and specialized in civil litigation, writs and appeals, representing plaintiffs in catastrophic personal injury, medical malpractice, insurance bad faith and wrongful death matters. Likewise, in her two-year capacity as Deputy City Attorney, she counseled City Council members on pending litigation and exclusively represented five local police departments in litigation matters ranging from civil rights defense, breach of contract and administrative law. In 2003, Lisa Blasser was a Western State Dean Scholar and in 2006 she managed Western State’s “Raise the Bar” program. Lisa Blasser is currently the Assistant Director of the S.T.E.L.L.A.R. Academic Support Program and teaches Introduction to Legal Methods.
