Reciprocal Services

The Career Services Office at Western State University is happy to assist students and graduates of other law schools with obtaining employment per the following guidelines:

  1. Reciprocity is granted on a case by case basis to students and graduates from ABA approved law schools that extend similar services to students and graduates of Western State.
  2. Requests for reciprocity must be made in writing to the Director of Career Services. Please direct requests to:

  3. Reciprocity students and graduates must make an appointment prior to their first visit and submit a resume at that time.

    Reciprocity is effective for three months upon receipt of written request. The Career Services Office will honor up to three reciprocity privileges. Reciprocity may be suspended or curtailed from August through November, at the director's discretion.
  4. Western State is committed to policies prohibiting discrimination and harassment. Those policies extend to all activities conducted and sponsored by the College of Law, including employment and career services. Employers and other organizations participating in Career Services programs agree to honor those policies. requests per individual, at the discretion at the director.
  5. Reciprocity privileges include: use of (Career Services) library publications, periodicals, data collections and handouts; access to appropriate internet resources; access to employment listings; and an orientation by one of the staff.
  6. Not included among reciprocity privileges: participation in on-campus interviews, job fairs, seminars and workshops; resume forwarding; career counseling.
  7. Recipients of reciprocity are requested to note their reciprocity status in cover letters when applying for positions obtained through the Career Services Office.
  8. 8. Reciprocity privileges are at the discretion of the Director of Career Services. The Director may limit reciprocity or revoke privileges. Reciprocity may be suspended or curtailed from August through November, at the director's discretion.

                                   Friday 9:00 am - 4:00 p.m.
