Public Service
The Western State community is committed to training attorneys who are passionate about their profession’s responsibility to the welfare of the community. The Public Service Program was established to provide the means for students to pursue that mission and to recognize their efforts among their peers. At commencement, the College of Law reaffirms its commitment to its public service mission by recognizing graduates who have completed the program. Graduates who have performed forty hours or more of public service are granted a Certificate of Public Service; those performing one hundred hours or more of public service are granted a Certificate of Distinguished Public Service; those performing two hundred or more of public service are granted a Certificate of Exemplary Public Service.
