Reciprocal Services

The Career Services Office at Western State is happy to assist students and graduates of other law schools with obtaining employment through Reciprocal Services. Reciprocity is granted on a case-by-case basis to students and graduates from ABA approved law schools that extend similar services to Western State students and graduates.

In order to obtain Reciprocity, students and graduates must adhere to the following guidelines:

Requests for reciprocity must be made in writing to the Director of Career Services. Please direct requests to:

Ana L. Bidoglio
Director, Career Services
Western State University College of Law
1111 North State College Blvd.
Fullerton, CA 92831

Requests by fax and email will also be accepted. Please send faxes to (714) 525-6721 or via email to abidoglio@wsulaw.edu.

Students and graduates who are granted reciprocity must make an appointment prior to their first visit and submit a resume at that time.

Reciprocity privileges include: use of (Career Services) library publications, periodicals, data collections and handouts; access to appropriate internet resources; access to employment listings; and an orientation by Career Services’ staff.

Reciprocity privileges do not include: participation in on-campus interviews, job fairs, seminars and workshops; resume forwarding; and career counseling.

Recipients of reciprocity are requested to note their reciprocity status in cover letters when applying for positions obtained through the Career Services Office.

Reciprocity is effective for three months upon receipt of written request.

Career Services will honor up to three reciprocity privileges.

At the director’s discretion, Reciprocity may be suspended or curtailed from August through November.
