Certificated Course of Study
The Western State University College of Law Faculty Curriculum Committee has approved a course of study leading to a Certificate in Business Law Studies. To earn the Certificate and a corresponding notation on their transcript, students are required to complete 24 academic units of "core courses" and 6 units of approved electives in the business law area, for a total of 27 units. To successfully complete their Certificate students must attain:
- A 2.0 or higher cumulative grade point average overall
- Grade point average of 2.5 or higher in the Business Law Center courses
- No less than 2.0 grade point average in any individual core course
Internships and externships are optional but highly encouraged and many are available.
